    Tab-Delimited to XML Conversions are Easily Accomplished with the XCS eiConsole. The Conversion is Done between Tab-Delimited Formats and XML

    With the eiConsole, Tab-Delimited to XML conversion is handled via the "Delimited and Fixed-Width File" transformation module. As with all the components of the eiConsole the user is presented with a graphical interface with easy to configure panels.

    Using the File Specification Editor, the user can create a file specification for the transformation module to describe the conversion from the tab-delimited format to XML. The File Specification Editor can even import tab field and record names directly:

    As with any file specification, tab-delimited descriptions interpreted by the "Delimited and Fixed-Width File" transformer are bi-directional, enabling the user to use the same specification to convert from a tab-delimited format to XML, as well as vice-versa.
