MSMQ Transport

The XCS eiConsole and XCS eiPlatform Support Connectivity to a Microsoft Based Queuing Environment (MSMQ)

You get support for connectivity to a Microsoft Based Queuing Environment. Specifically, this is accomplished through MSMQ. As with all the components of the eiConsole the user is presented with a graphical interface with easy to configure panels. To configure an MSMQ Transport, you select this option from the Transport Type dropdown.

On the Basic configuration tab, enter in the HostName of the MSMQ server. In the MSMQ QueueName configuration item, specify the name of the MSMQ Queue that you wish to connect to.

The Transaction Type configuration item will allow you to specify the type of transaction that you will be using. Valid values are NO_TRANSACTION, MTS, XA or single message. Consult your MSMQ Documentation for the specific meaning of each of these transaction types. The maximum message size of a transaction to be placed on the queue can also be specified in the Maximum Message Size configuration item.
